What You Can Learn

With your Pharmacy Technician Certificate, you will be qualified to:

  • Retrieve, pour, weigh, measure, and mix medication.
  • Establish patient profiles.
  • Prepare insurance claim forms.
  • Stock and take inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
  • Read patient charts and deliver medicine to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.
  • Utilize and interpret anatomical, diagnostic, and symptomatic medical terms.
  • Appropriately address a variety of ethical situations related to patient care and interaction with other members of the medical team.
