Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is based on two years of full-time study over eight (8) consecutive quarters. Students participate in classroom, laboratory, and clinical courses that may require attendance up to, but not more than 40 hours per week. Nursing specific courses are held at the Bridgeview campus during daytime and evening operating hours. The times and locations of required general education courses may vary.

Clinical assignments are scheduled Monday-Saturday. Clinical sites include hospitals, nursing rehabilitation centers, long-term settings, clinics, and so forth.

Students do not attend classes or clinical assignments during scheduled breaks between quarters or on days that the College is officially closed. See the calendar in the College Catalog.

Degree Requirements

Students must complete 107 credit hours in order to earn an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing. Note: All occupational/nursing courses must be taken as sequenced.
