The Edward G. Schumacher Memorial Library at Northwestern College provides services where library staff can borrow the materials our patrons need if the materials are not housed in a campus library. Through intercampus loan, materials can be requested from a different campus and sent to the campus where the patron is requesting the material. This generally takes a week from the time library staff receives the request. The borrower is required to fill out a short form and they will be notified by library staff when the materials arrive.
Through interlibrary loan, materials can be requested from different libraries throughout the state, and if need be, even out of state. After filling out a short form, library staff will place a request within 24 hours and the materials will usually be delivered in two to three weeks. The borrower will be notified by library staff when the materials arrive.
Students may also use their Northwestern College ID to check out books at some other college and university libraries.
