We strongly urge all of our students to spend a little time and contact the individual programs and do a little research on the Internet or at your local library to learn about these lesser-known programs.

There are also programs for children of deceased, disabled veterans with service-related disabilities, Illinois Army/Air National Guard and the Illinois POW/MIA Scholarship. Eligibility is based on criteria established by the Veteran’s Administration but include the length of service, number of dependents and the number of enrolled hours the students is carrying. Most programs are based on financial need and the availability of funds. Eligibility is determined and administered by your tribe and may be awarded in successive years based on the students satisfactory academic progress.
